• Next Painting Monterchi is the village in Umbria which houses the Piero della Francesca Madonna del Pardo now in the first small building on the extreme left of the painting. The striking façade is succumbing to the steady progress of concrete refurbishment and a certain harshness of edge. Again this is a reference to old and new. |
